I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in treating anxiety and depression in youth and adults. My favorite population to work with is adolescents, and the majority of my clinical work over the course of my career has been with this age group.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and my Master’s and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. For the past several years, I have been providing individual psychotherapy to older adolescents and adults with anxiety and depression via telehealth video sessions.
I primarily practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is a present-focused therapy with a wealth of research evidence demonstrating its positive effects on mood and anxiety. In therapy sessions, I work with youth to identify and challenge negative thoughts and behaviors that can maintain negative mood and anxiety, and to generate more accurate and helpful thoughts/behaviors. When relevant, I incorporate techniques from other empirically supported treatments, including Mindfulness-Based Interventions, Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Adolescents (DBT-A), and Interpersonal Therapy for Adolescents (IPT-A).
In my free time, I enjoy hiking and being in nature, reading, and spending time with my husband and two children.
